“We are all on a journey. Although I cannot control what will happen on my journey, I can control who I am on my journey.

As you wrap up the semester, you should be thinking of how to leave your students with a plan to continue to spread peace independently. Of course, you are not expected to have completely taught the intricacies of peace in mere weeks – but all the same, try to leave students with practical ideas of how they can spread joy in everyday life.
As with past units, our eldest students can be expected to broach this week’s theme with a higher level of thoughtfulness than our younger students are expected. Convey that your students are each embarking on great journeys, and that it is up to them to grow into the kind of person they truly want to be.
